HQ Political & Economic developments in Ukraine and/or Crimea

Since the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's government decided to strengthen its ties with Moscow, what were the social upheaval consequences, political and economic developments, and the spark of interest in gaining Crimea on behalf of Russia?

    Do you plan on discussing what made the government want to strengthen its ties with Moscow? Also, do you plan on describing the relationship between the Ukraine and Moscow before they strengthened ties?

    You're on the right track but need to rephrase your question to make it more focused. The current question seems to pivot upon Viktor Yanukovych. Is this what you intent to focus upon? If not, examine the political, social, or economic factors that contributed to the current unrest and instability in Ukraine.
