HQ- Scotland's Independence Movement
How would Scotland gaining its independence affect the United Kingdom?
I feel this question is a little bit vague. Maybe you could more detail in the question so you could narrow down your research, not to be offensive. It is a good question, but I just feel it needs more to it.
It is a good question to ask, but I believe that it is too general. I would recommend trying to find something specific like how it would affect the United Kingdom politically or socially, or something along those lines.
TJ & Jack have given you some useful feedback. This question implies that you are focusing on the United Kingdom rather than Scotland. Although you could go in this direction, I think for this project you may be better served investigating the motivations (political, cultural, social, economic) for the Scottish independence movement. By narrowing your focus to Scotland, you'll be able to focus your research and writing. Further, you may want to consider how the independence movement in Scotland fits into other European "separatist" movements (ex. Basques, Kosovo, Belgium, etc.)
